Interesting choice of hero image ... JP.. JT... JD Vance... Trump endorsed but didn’t even get his band right and said he kissed his a** for the endorsement. The Ohio midterms were embarrassing and not because we had to use unconstitutional gerrymandered maps but the Democrats ran a candidate who assumed he could appeal to the middle and turn out blue voters in a midterm... crazy, nutty folks but at least he has job prospects and ... so spitting mad at this colossal cock-up! We could have had a bigger spread in the Senate, remade our Supreme Court but now we’re under water and drowning... nobody seems to care, though, our super smart know everything media just slapped a “Deep Red” label on Ohio and abandoned us.

Anyway, I’m enjoying your newsletter. As a blue dot in a deep pool of red, you’re hitting a lot of notes that our media and Democratic Party is somehow willfully missing. It’s super weird to find oneself screaming about the obvious pings that get missed in the quest for a six-second sound byte that masquerades as insight.

(h/t to Sari Botton for dropping a recco on notes... the connection is Kingston, NY... yeah, I know, one foot in Ohio, One in New York... it’s weird but works)

If we end up in a dictatorship, this will explain why. Even though it doesn't enjoy majority support among the public, the GOP has structural advantages that make it even money to win general election contests regardless of candidate quality. By completely dominating the party, Trump has a reasonable chance of returning to office and governing as absolute ruler because of his dominance of the GOP.

Thanks for sharing the paper. I restacked it with a couple of comments particular to Idaho's election and can't wait to read the full paper.
