Yes. Thank you. I’ve been running around commenting on sky-is-falling newsletter coverage all morning and if I’d waited I could have just linked to this.

(In fact, linking to it anyway.)

But people have concerns!

Not the people who actually interact with him, mind you, just... people.

The #CORRUPT New York Times and other media make up these stories by stating "people" without providing actual evidence. #ALL_LAMESTREAM_MEDIA_IS_CORRUPT

No legitimate concerns about Biden, but people should definitely be concerned about authoritarian trump, #THE_BIG_FAT_LYING_RAPIST_AND_NAZI.

Stop with the step aside talk unless you can put up a candidate with broad appeal.

Speaking as a 50+ person that interviewed for a job just yesterday, the spin around Biden's age is frightening. But then we do have to look at exactly who is spinning these discussions (rich media owners, some of whom need to also be concerned with ageism) and what their agenda may be.

Our six- and seven-figure media stars never, ever ask Trump the same question twice, and if you ask why they’ll say “What’s the point?” But they’ll find different ways to ask Biden “Aren’t you really old?” for the next nine months. (Although they’ll find time to ask other questions Republicans want them to as well.)

Find someone who talks with Biden regularly who says he’s losing it. Oh, wait—that’s some of that “reporting” that pundits find icky.

Agree with all of this except Biden is popular with Democrats and the hyper-partisanship which has been on a sharp rise from Obama on is reflected in both presidential and approval polls. We also have the huge problem of the mainstream media constantly misrepresenting economic news and the threat of the GOP to our democracy. Their doomer headlines - especially the NYT - have a huge impact on these polls. That all said, I’m not saying we don’t have work to do (we do and we ALL need to be doing our party to register, engage and inform voters), but if we didn’t have the Electoral College, Biden would win easily so the approval/popularity argument is tricky because I don’t think there’s any presidential candidate who is going to be “popular.” I mean Biden has delivered some of the most popular legislation in our lifetime and an incredibly strong economy - he should have at least a 70% approval rating.

Sorry, they would try to undermine him even if he were in his 40’s or 50’s because they HATE that a Democrat has to save America from their crumbling and dictatorial republican idiocy and cupidity.

Ya, yes, and yes! Thank you for articulating the stupidity, bias, and hypocrisy of sniping ay Biden’s age. I notice that my least favorite and most “conservative” (read: selfish, self-absorbed and petty) columnists Douthat and Stephens are all in on the terribleness of Biden being an old guy. They would try to undermine him I’d
