What Trump deserves is to be in prison for a violent coup attempt to overthrow an election he lost. I lived and worked in Washington,DC for many years. Two people have attacked our nation's Capitol in my lifetime. One was Osama bin Laden. The other was Donald Trump.
I and we literally saw it with our own eyes as it unfolded on television. I saw Congressman Jason Crow, an Iraq War combat veteran and former Army Ranger, crouched in fear in the House gallery as Trump's mob tried to break down the doors and kill him to stop the certification of an election Trump lost. The mob tried to beat police officers to death with Trump flags and chanted 'kill him with his own gun' at Metro DC police officer Mike Fanone tased him into a heart attack. Officer Caroline Edwards testified to the January 6 Committee about slipping in her fellow officers' blood after she was knocked unconscious. There are hours of video and thousand of photographs of the violence of that day. This isn't funny or an LOL. You're clearly mentally ill and trapped in a cult, and you repulse people like me who actually love our country and value our democracy.
The only person in this race who's shown contempt for the American system is Trump, who committed treason by inciting a violent coup attempt, stole classified documents, insults our military, and bows and scrapes to Vladimir Putin and acts in the interest of Russia instead of the United States of America. I make no apologies for defending my country against enemies foreign and domestic, and Trump fits in both categories.

VP Harris' father, from whom she is estranged, is a distinguished economist at Stanford.
