Tusk is heading to Iowa

On the ground with University Denver undergraduates!

I am bringing 13 extremely enthusiastic University of Denver political science students to Iowa this weekend to follow the events leading up to the Republican caucuses. I hope to have lots of content for you here in the form of occasional brief dispatches and photos from me and the students.

Our plan is to attend as many campaign events as we can over 3 days, and meet with some activists, party leaders, and maybe even a candidate or two. We’re hoping to get a sense of the organization and activity and energy that can be hard to convey in a classroom.

This trip is being made possible thanks to DU alumnus Sam Barrows (2008), the Office of the DU Provost, the DU Department of Political Science, the Ron and Jane Olson Center for Public Democracy at Drake, and DU’s Center on American Politics.
