As of today, roughly 3.5 million Americans have already cast votes in next month’s presidential election. Democrats outnumber Republicans among these early voters 2 to 1. That figure is going to go up a lot in the next few days, as voters in Colorado and other vote-by-mail states start to receive their ballots.
In the most recent Power & Flour podcast episode,
and I discuss what we know about the early vote in 2024. Who has voted so far? What kind of voters tend to vote early and what kind don’t? What are the consequences of an election “day” that lasts more than a month? Can we learn anything in advance by knowing who is voting now? We also discuss Sweden’s wonderful cinnamon bun holiday. You can listen to this podcast on Apple Podcasts, Overcast, Spotify, or basically anywhere else. And here’s the show page.
