Yes it's really happening

A lot of us thought this moment wouldn’t actually happen, but here it is, President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump actually going to do a debate. Same guys, but new rules, new format, and new stakes. To try and capture it all in real time, I will be live-blogging this debate along with my occasional co-conspirator Dr. Julia Azari. As is our style, we’ll be discussing just what the candidates mean when they say the things they say, what the historical precedents for the moment are, what the important takeaways are, why this was somehow worth watching, how this probably won’t change anything but hey you never know, and more. We welcome your comments as we go, and we’ll do our best to answer your questions.
