The more I re-read that paragraph, the more I think you just wanted to remind us that he called Frank Luntz a low class slob. Only one of us true fans of incivility would have thrown that one in there. Admit it, you also liked it when he called Justin “Governor Trudeau,” but you’re just slowly turning over a new leaf. "We just didn't talk about racism. It wasn't polite." This is something I heard in an interview with an elderly woman from The South and it's just stuck with me ever since.
Calling out people for being racist was considered "impolite" so since people wanted to be "polite" then racism got to continue mostly unabated while everyone was being polite to the powerful people who felt comfortable speaking up when they felt uncomfortable.
Seth, it is not offensive or bloodthirsty to point out that over time parts or maybe all of Canada will become a territory of the United States. Many have come to the conclusion that the current lines on a map are permanent they are not. For proof, look at the map of the world at the turn of the 19th Century to the 20th Century, and compare it to today. Notice any changes? Even as we speak, some providences are putting to a vote to succeed from Canada.

Um, yes, a lot of boundaries have changed over the past century. Most of those were achieved very violently and without consent.
